During the first appointment, a full assessment of the feet will be done to determine general foot health
(blood flow and sensation test included)
Nail cutting
Corn Removal
Verrucae Treatment
Fungal Nail Treatment
Callus (hard skin) removal
Reducing down thick nails - 'nail drill'
Biomechanical
Assessment
If you are suffering with any type of foot pain that is not related to hard skin or nails, it is likely to be biomechanical in nature. If you are suffering from heel pain we can determine where the pain is coming from and what is causing it. Most importantly is giving you a detailed plan of how you can fix any heel pain or biomechanical problem at home. Insole devices are optional but only ever recommended after all conservative methods and advice has been attempted first.
Diabetic
Annual Review
If you do not require any foot care but would like to speak to a podiatrist to have an updated 'Diabetic Annual Review' this is a service we can provide, although this is available via the NHS you can avoid waiting times by choosing Newcastle Podiatry.
A useful option if you are looking for a second opinion.
